Client Testimonials

We asked the team at The Contractor Consultants to describe their culture. This is what they had to say.....

Leadership & Key Relationships

Reports To: Aaron Buck, Sales Manager

Direct Reports: None — this is an individual contributor role. You'll work closely with the Fulfillment/Onboarding team on client handoff and with Revenue Operations on pipeline and commission tools

Location & Travel: Fully Remote (U.S.) — Eastern or Central time zone strongly preferred. No travel required.

Role Summary

There are 3.7 million construction companies in America. 88% of them can't figure out how to hire. The Contractor Consultants solved it — and built a fully remote B2B recruitment platform that's helping construction and trade businesses across the U.S. and Canada hire smarter, faster, and better. We grew from zero to $12M in three years, and we're now scaling toward $100M with a clear path to a strategic acquisition within the next three years.

We're not hiring another rep who dials for dollars. We need elite closers who can step into a warm, already-booked conversation, build real trust with a decision-maker fast, and confidently ask for — and collect — payment on the call. Zero outbound. 100% warm inbound leads, already on your calendar when you log in.

This is an individual contributor seat with room to build a career, not just hit a number. You'll own a full book of business — from first call, to signed contract, to the renewal conversation two years later — and get paid like someone who owns that relationship, not like someone reading a script.

Two things have to be true about your background:

  • You've closed high-ticket deals ($6,000+) — not just pitched them. You understand deal velocity across a 2–3 call, days-to-weeks sales cycle, and you know how to hold urgency without being pushy.
  • You've lived inside a CRM as your source of truth. Advanced HubSpot or Salesforce proficiency, because your pipeline is your paycheck.
  • You've thrived on a small, fast-moving team — not a slow enterprise machine — and you're energized by a company whose product, process, and comp plan will keep evolving as we scale.

If that sounds like the kind of room you want to be in, read on.

Success Outcome #1: Convert 100% Warm Inbound Pipeline Into $29K+ Annual Partnerships

Own the full inbound pipeline TCC's marketing engine builds for you — pre-booked calls with decision-makers who already know they have a hiring problem — and convert them into $29,000+ annual hiring partnerships. You're not prospecting. You're not cold-calling. You're closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert 100% warm inbound leads into annual hiring partnerships at deal sizes of $29,000+
  • Manage sales cycles across 2–3 calls, working directly with decision-makers, on 2-day to 2-week closing timelines
  • "Crack the card" on the call — secure payment directly from decision-makers without wavering
  • Own your HubSpot pipeline with zero hand-holding — clean data, clean conscience, clean commission
  • Build rapid, authentic rapport with contractors, construction owners, and corporate buyers
  • Adapt with confidence as the product, process, and model evolve — because they will, and quickly

Success Outcome #2: Own Your Book of Business & Compound It Through Renewals

A closed deal is the start of the relationship, not the end of it. You'll manage the full lifecycle of every client you close — onboarding handoff, 45-day check-ins, and annual renewal conversations — building a book of business that pays you again as it renews and grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full relationship lifecycle: onboarding handoff, 45-day check-ins, and annual renewal support
  • Cultivate a referral pipeline by becoming a trusted advisor to your client base — not just the person who closed the deal
  • Drive the 90-day survival and annual renewal outcomes your commission is directly tied to
  • Partner with the Fulfillment team so every client you bring in gets the "unreasonable hospitality" experience that keeps them renewing

Success Outcome #3: Operate Inside a High-Trust, Data-Clean Sales Culture

TCC's culture isn't a poster on the wall — it's a set of operating values every closer is expected to live by, on every call and in every deal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure twice, cut once — move fast, but not sloppy; prep matters
  • Say it now — if something's wrong, speak up immediately, not three months later in a team meeting
  • Own the outcome — your pipeline, your follow-up, your close; nobody else's
  • Stay thick-skinned — some prospects are surly; it won't rattle you, it might even energize you
  • Build the bridge while crossing it — we evolve quickly, you evolve with us, and you bring others along

Compensation & Growth

Guaranteed Base Salary: Your base salary is guaranteed and paid every two weeks (26 pay cycles a year), regardless of what you close in any given period. This is your floor.

Commission — How It Actually Works: Once your closed, cash-collected business for the month crosses your monthly revenue threshold, commission kicks in on a draw system. In practice: the base salary you've already been paid for that period is weighed against what you've earned in commission, and once your production clears your guarantee, every additional dollar you generate flows straight to you. The better your month, the more of your total pay comes from what you closed — but the guarantee never disappears.

Commission Structure: Paid monthly across multiple earning events — new client closes (quarterly or annual upfront), a 90-day client survival bonus, Single Hiring Funnel closes and conversions, and annual book-of-business renewals — with tiered rates (Starter, Growth, Scale) that increase your per-deal payout as you level up.

Discretionary Performance Bonus: Eligible AEs can also earn an additional "Book of Business" bonus tied to annual client renewal and retention performance.

Benefits: Company-sponsored medical (Anthem PPO, including mental health & EAP access), 100% company-paid basic life insurance, discounted dental & vision, paid sick days, PTO that grows with tenure, and 10 paid company holidays including a floating holiday of your choice.

Life at TCC

We were built by contractors, for contractors — not by recruiters. We went from a small team to 80+ elite performers, we're on track to support 1,500+ clients in 2026, and we've been recognized by Congress and won multiple industry awards. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth company at the inflection point right before the market fully understands what we've built.

  • An annual all-company gathering every January — a full week of speakers, retreats, whiteboard sessions, and team competitions that brings the entire company together
  • A personal development budget for every employee
  • A tenure rewards program with real milestones at year 5 and year 10
  • A fully remote, high-trust culture where you're measured on outcomes, not hours online

What Gives You the Edge (Preferred)

  • Background in or around construction — selling to contractors, working trades, or similar remote experience
  • Experience in recruitment sales, staffing, or HR technology
  • Located in the Southeastern U.S. (Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia)
  • Remote closing experience
